It is constructed of a rugged 10 gauge steel and the lid overlaps the top to make it virtually pry proof when it is bolted down to a permanent surface. It has an elegant tactical black powder coating on the outside. It has a Simplex mechanical push button lock with an over-sized steel lock block and deadbolt to keep it closed when locked. The Simplex lock is meant to allow you to set your own combination easily if you need to. It has a break-away clutch knob that breaks free if someone tries to force it. It has a heavy duty continuous hinge with a welded pin to hold the back-end secure. It has a gas piston which assists with opening the lid of the V-line 1394-S FBLK Brute Handgun Safe.
