The hinge is internal and all-steel, so there are no exposed cutting points for someone with an angle grinder to target. On the lock side, you get a SECURAM SafeLogic TopLit UL-Approved high security electronic lock backed by a hard plate and internal re-locker, which means a punch or drill attack on the keypad won't release the bolts. The SafeLogic TopLit also adds two LED lights at the top of the keypad that illuminate when any button is pressed, so programming and opening the safe in dim back-office lighting is a non-issue.
The front-load deposit hopper is where this safe earns its keep day to day. The back of the hopper has jagged-teeth anti-fish baffles that hook fishing lines and snag any attempt to pull cash back out through the slot. Combined with the all-steel hopper construction and no exposed cutting surfaces, fishing attacks become nearly impossible. Two bolt down holes on the bottom of the safe let you anchor it to the floor or counter using the included hardware, and we strongly recommend bolting it down. A 44 lb safe is portable enough for a determined thief to walk off with if it isn't secured.
