Upgraded from Rhino's RT series, the Rhino TGX7241GL Thunderbolt Gun Safe comes with the patented SAFEX® Security System—the next generation of safe security systems! Rhino has designed this with a revolutionary locking system that interlocks the safe door to the body, without traditional bars or bolts.
In addition to the SAFEX® Security System added to this safe, the Rhino Metals TGX7241GL Thunderbolt Gun Safe is built with thick 7-gauge steel on the body and door, and it comes with the Gear-Driven Patented F-4 Clutch System. The TGX series also comes with an optional 7 Gauge AR500 steel inner liner upgrade. These security features helped this safe receive the UL Residential Security Container (RSC) Burglary Rating. This safe exceeds the requirements for a California DOJ Firearm Safety Device.
The Rhino TGX7241GL Gun Safe comes with a full 160 minutes at 1400°F of fire protection to your valuables stored inside. The safe has protective fireboards, located in the ceiling, walls, floor and door. The inner door frame is lined with a heat activated Palusol® Fire Door Seal that will expand up to eight times its size, to help keep out smoke and heat.
The Rhino TGX7241GLGL Thunderbolt Gun Safe comes standard with the S&G UL Listed mechanical dial lock with day-lock. The safe can be chosen with an electronic lock or upgraded to a biometric lock with backlit keypad option. Protecting any installed lock on this safe, is the ball bearing drill plate and spring-loaded re-locker, which offers extra protection for the lock in the case of an attempted drill attack. The patented Anti-Tamper Clutched Handle prevents someone from torquing the safe open via the handle.
The interior of the TGX7241GL Gun Safe is fully upholstered, in either heather or leatherette, and comes with Rhino's patented Vector™ Interior, which allows the upmost optimization of space with ultimate flexibility. This TGX Gun Safe model can store up to 51 long guns inside, with a rifle rod kit included inside to help maximize firearm storage. On the back of the door comes a deluxe door panel organizer with handgun holders and pockets for even more storage inside this safe. More features on the interior include the internal electrical outlet with USB slots for plugging in light kits or even to charge electronics stored inside.
The TGX7241GL Thunderbolt Gun Safe comes in multiple gloss color options, including the option to upgrade to a two-tone faded finish. Not only can you choose the color of your safe, but you can also choose which color hardware comes on the safe. You have a choice of chrome, brass, black, or black chrome (with an extra cost for black chrome). Once you open the door of the TGX7241GL with the 5-spoke turn handle and a pull handle, the external hinges allow the door to open a full 180° to have complete access to the contents of your safe.
