This Fort Knox Defender 6637 Gun Safe is from 2007, it was bought from a customer who no longer needed the safe. The safe is an older model and shows some wear from its previous owner on the inside and outside, however is in pretty decent shape. All components are in working condition. The safe comes with a 90 minute fire rating, is UL RSC rated, comes with interior shelves, hanging hooks on the door, and S&G electronic lock and more! The safe is sold-as-is. Cranking up the heat to 1680°, the Fort Knox Defender 6637 is certified for 90 minutes of inferno fire protection. This is accomplished with the 1-3/4" reinforced fire door consisting of a 3/8" steel plate, 2 layers of fire board and 10-gauge steel reinforcement. Add in the heat activated Palusol dual thermal door seal and your vault will be locked, sealed and ready to block the worst that flames have to offer.
When it comes to security, the Fort Knox Defender 6637 is UL listed due to its 10 gauge, uni-body construction and thick steel plate door. Securing the door shut are 1.5" solid steel locking bolts strategically placed at the sides, top and bottom of the door and you have a vault that is extremely difficult to get into, even when you know what you're doing.
On the door of the Fort Knox Defender 6637 lies a S&G electronic lock, protected by a drill stop hard plate with recessed multi-bearings. Once you unlock the safe, you will turn the chrome 3-spoke wheel handle and open the door. This particular model comes with a left-hand swing, door opening. Inside is a gray carpeted material so your valuables don't get damaged while securely stored inside. There are multiple adjustable shelves for storing your valuables along with a gun rack for rifles.
In terms of functionality, the internal power supply system will allow you to plug in your dehumidifier or other various electronics. While the door is open the bolt detent system will keep the bolts secured inside the door until the door is securely closed. On the door panel are multiple rows of hooks to hang items inside the safe.
