This American Security BF3416 Burglary and Fire Home Safe is from 2021, 1st quarter. The previous owner no longed needed the safe and kept it in almost brand new condition. There are no noticeable damages and all components including the lock are in excellent, working condition. This safe has a full 1 hour fire rating, UL RSC burglary rating, four adjustable interior shelves and ESL10 electronic lock. The safe is sold-as-is. In terms of security, the AMSEC BF3416 home safe earned the UL RSC burglary label due to it's 1/2" thick steel plate door, 3 large 1" diameter solid steel locking bolts, spring-loaded re-locker, 1/4" heavy duty carburized hard plate and full-length dead bar. The total door thickness comes out to 3-1/2" and the total body thickness comes out to just over 2-1/2", now that's a lot of thickness to drill through during a break in. The body starts with a 1/8" outer and inner steel shells filled with an internal composite material that provides fire resistance.
Tested by UL Laboratories, the AMSEC BF3416 is UL rated for 1 hour maintaining an interior temperature of less than 350°. AMSEC also adds a special door seal that expands when heated creating a smoke seal around the door.
This particular AMSEC BF3416 comes in a black textured finish with chrome hardware. The handle is an easy-to-use l-shape turn handle. The interior comes with 3 carpeted adjustable shelves to neatly store your valuables.
