The Rhino LIX7253 Gun Safe is based off Rhino's Ironworks AIX series with multiple security upgrades added on. The LIX series comes with Rhino's patented SAFEX® Security System—the next generation of safe security systems! Rhino has designed this with a revolutionary locking system that interlocks the safe door to the body, without traditional bars or bolts.

In addition, the LIX7253 Lightning Gun Safe is built just like it looks, heavy duty. The safe is constructed with thick 10-gauge steel, and it comes with the Gear-Driven Patented F-4 Clutch System. These security features and more help with this safe receiving the UL Residential Security Container (RSC) Burglary Rating. This safe exceeds the requirements for a California DOJ Firearm Safety Device.

The Rhino LIX Lightning Series comes with 120 minutes of certified fire protection, being tested at 1400°F. The safe has full coverage fire lining in the door frame(unlike internal hinge designs). The inner door frame is lined with a heat activated Palusol® fire door seal that will expand up to eight times its size, to help keep out smoke and heat.

Standard on the Lightning LIX7253 Gun Safe is a UL® Listed S&G manual dial lock with day-lock. Substitute the lock with a UL rated electronic lock for no extra cost, or you can upgrade to a UL Listed biometric lock with backlit keypad. Protecting any installed lock on this safe is the ball bearing drill plate and spring-loaded relocker, which offers extra protection for the lock in the case of an attempted drill attack. The patented Anti-Tamper Clutched Handle prevents someone from torquing the safe open via the handle.

The Rhino LIX7253 comes with Rhino's patented Vector™ Interior. This Vector™ system uses the back wall of the interior to adjust your interior shelving and gun rack, which allows you to maximize storage space inside your safe. This system is fully adjustable to fit your needs and provides ultimate flexibility. The entire interior is fully upholstered with Rhino's rustic-style leatherette lining.

The LIX7253 Lightning Gun Safe model can store up to 78 long guns inside using the adjustable gun rack and included rifle rod set, letting you maximize your interior gun storage. This gun series is compatible with Rhino's Swing-Out Gun Rack as an optional add-on (additional charge), which allows up to 30% more-gun storage than the safes regular interior.

On the back of the door comes a deluxe door panel organizer with handgun holders and pockets for even more storage inside this safe. More features on the interior include the included (factory installed) LED lighting system, internal electrical outlet with USB slots for plugging in the light kit, a dehumidifier, or even to charge electronics stored inside.

Pairing with Rhino's Antique Ironworks finish is the vault-style wheel metal handle and pull handle. The external hinges allow the door to open a full 180 degrees to have complete access to the interior contents of your safe.
