"Another tragic shooting took place this week in Sparks, Nevada and it is just as heartbreaking as all of the recent school shootings. A young boy in middle school, about 12 years old decided to bring his parent's gun to school Monday morning. Right when class had started, around 7:15 a.m. the student shot a fellow student with his parent's gun in the shoulder, then walked toward his teacher, shot him in the chest, then walked south and shot a second student in the stomach before finally shooting himself. One of the students has pointed to revenge being the possible motive as he says the shooter pointed to them and said, ""You ruined my life and now I'm going to ruin yours."" The teacher that was shot actually turned out to be a marine by the name of Michael Landsberry. He attempted to stop the shooting rampage before it had begun however he was fatally shot in the chest. The other two students suffered fatal injuries but neither were life threatening. A candlelight vigil is scheduled in front of the middle school and the Patriot Guard and various veteran groups will participate in an honor guard. Now authorities are investigating the reasons why and how this young boy was able to get a loaded weapon. Unfortunately, it ended up being one of his parent's guns that wasn't locked up. Time and time again we see these shootings happen. Tragic School Shooting because a child has too easy of access to a weapon. All of this could have been prevented if the parents would have simply locked up their weapon. It doesn't have to be a big fancy gun safe either, a simple handgun safe would have done the job just fine. Keep your weapons locked up and out of the hands of children. Gun Safes Save Lives"
